FitBark is dedicated to developing research-grade products that help advance science as well as human understanding of canine health.

Our activity monitors and connected platform has been helping a variety of vet schools and research institutions in all continents to validate new drugs, products and medical treatments.

Common applications include osteoarthritis, nutrition, weight management, pain management, ACL and other orthopedic surgeries, rehabilitation, sleep disorders, skin disorders, circadian rhythmicity etc.

Typical factors that might introduce inaccuracies such as the positioning of the FitBark around the collar and the tightness of the collar on a dog’s neck, for example, have proved to generate modest daily variations. A similar outcome was also found in previous literature where accelerometers for human use were applied to dogs.
