Rest, active and play time are secondary, behavioral metrics.

We allocate each minute in the life of your dog into one of three buckets: rest, active or play. You can think of:

  • “Rest” as a low energy activity e.g. a dog sleeping

  • “Active” as a medium energy activity e.g. a dog moving or walking slowly

  • “Play” as a high energy activity e.g. a dog walking fast or running

These metrics are useful for tracking behavioral changes. For example, illness generally results in an increase in the daily total resting time (lethargy).
